Germany marks Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis

An event to celebrate 31 December- the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis was organized in the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany here. Berlin, December 22 (AzerTAc). An event to celebrate 31 December- the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis was organized in the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany here.
Opening the event held at support of Azerbaijan Embassy in Germany, head of the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany Samira Patzer- Ismayilova congratulated participants on the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
Samira Patzer- Ismayilova provided information on the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis associated with national leader Heydar Aliyev`s name.
The first counsellor of Azerbaijan Embassy in Germany Rizvan Nabiyev congratulated representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora on behalf of Ambassador Parviz Shahbazov.
He praised the cooperation of Azerbaijan Embassy with the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany and Diasporaş
A documentary titled “Azerbaijan motives” on the country`s history, culture and art was demonstrated at the event.
The performance by Azerbaijani artist, living in Germany Alakbar Aliyev in tar (an Azerbaijani stringed folk musical instrument) aroused keen interest among the audience.
Doctoral candidate of the University of Potsdam, president of the official Fan - Club of Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan Fariz Gasimli delivered a report called “The Way to Success” and provided information on the country`s participation in the international song contest since 2008 and triumph in 2011.
The event was attended by employees of the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany, Azerbaijani students studying in Germany and representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora.
